Managing Board Elections

On the Board Elections main panel, you will see a list of all previously created elections. For each election, you can:

  • View the questions and results;
  • Download and print a report for record-keeping;
  • Finalize or cancel an ongoing election if necessary.

Creating a New Election

To create a new Board Election, follow these steps:

1. Click the green plus button to start a new election.

2. Enter a title and provide a description to explain the purpose of the election.
3. Set the activation date, closing date, and time for when voting will take place.
4. Choose if you want to send participants a reminder notification before the election closes and specify how many days before.

5. Choose between open and anonymous voting. 

⚠️ In an open vote, each respondent’s answers are visible to everyone. In anonymous voting, a random token is assigned to each respondent, allowing them to verify and audit their vote while keeping their identity hidden. The token is sent to the respondent via email. ⚠️
By default, each unit/household can only vote once to ensure fairness. The vote is limited to Primary Residents or Absentee Owners (in the absence of the first).
Adding Election Questions

You can create different types of questions for your election:

  1. Open Answer – Residents can write a response of up to 500 characters.
  2. Single Choice – Residents choose one option from multiple alternatives.
  3. Multiple Choice – Residents can select more than one option, with the ability to set a minimum and maximum selection limit.

Additionally, you can make any question mandatory to ensure participants provide a response.

Publishing or Saving as a Draft

Once you have set up your election:

  • Click "Save Draft" if you want to edit it later.
  • Click "Publish" to make it live immediately.

⚠️ Important: Once the election is published, it cannot be edited so to ensure voting integrity.⚠️

Finalizing the Election

Once the voting period ends, you can review the results and download a detailed report for reference. This ensures transparency and accountability in your community’s decision-making process.
